ROYAL HIVE

Royal Hive Majorettes is the first-ever HBCU-inspired majorette team at St. Augustine High School, proudly rooted in culture, tradition, and excellence. Born out of the vision and leadership of the Black Student Union (BSU), Royal Hive was created to celebrate heritage, empower students, and bring a new level of energy, pride, and performance to our school community.

Inspired by the rich legacy of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Royal Hive blends powerful majorette dance, discipline, and showmanship with strong character and accountability. Every performance reflects confidence, unity, and respect for the traditions that paved the way.

Royal Hive is more than a team; it is a movement. We honor the past by recognizing the cultural foundations that shaped HBCU majorette excellence, while creating excitement for the future through leadership development, student expression, and positive representation.

As history-makers at St. Augustine High School, Royal Hive stands as a symbol of progress, pride, and purpose. Building leaders, uplifting culture, and setting the standard for what’s next.

Tryout Requirements May Include

• Completed forms + parent acknowledgment

• Positive behavior and good standing

• Ability to learn and retain choreography

• Commitment to team attendance and communication
